Henry and the Crayon Spaceship is the first adventure in Henry's Crayon Adventures: a picture-book series with a functioning, privacy-first digital audience layer that publishers and partners can take or leave.
The pitch in one breath
Henry draws. The crayon makes it real. Cecil the pug is not sure about any of it. Book one takes them out of the bedroom window and around the solar system before bed. Book two, Henry and the Magic Crayon: Under the Sea, is a complete draft: a crayon submarine, a coral reef, a shoal, a turtle, dolphins, an octopus, a shark, jellyfish, a shipwreck, the deep dark and a whale. Every book is another drawing in Henry's sketchbook, so the series is not trapped in any one place.
Emotional rhythm: cosy → magical → curious → funny → triumphant → wondrous → calm.

Editorial notes
Henry and the Crayon Spaceship
- Page numbers in scene cues come from the 30-page proof and should be verified against the final printed edition.
- The proof calls Pluto 'the smallest of all'. Factual material here describes Pluto as a small icy dwarf planet, and the companion's refrain asks 'which world is near?'.
- Decide whether the book is intentionally US-English ('Mom') or UK-English before the site and book diverge. The companion launches in en-GB.
Henry and the Magic Crayon: Under the Sea
- Page numbers come from the 28-page draft manuscript and must be checked against the illustrated proof.
- The manuscript says some turtles swim on 'for a century or two'. Factual material here says many sea turtles live for around 50 to 100 years, and the rhyme is kept as story, not science.
- The manuscript uses 'Mommy' and 'Mom' to match Book 1. If the series flips to 'Mummy/Mum' for a UK edition, both books flip together.
Henry and the Magic Crayon: On Safari
- Page numbers come from the 28-page draft manuscript and must be checked against the illustrated proof.
- The illustration prompt for page 13 asks for a monkey hanging by its tail. African savanna monkeys such as vervets and baboons cannot hang by their tails; only some South American monkeys have gripping tails. Suggest hanging by the hands in the art. The manuscript text itself ('swinging through treetops') is fine.
- The manuscript uses 'Mommy' and 'Mom' to match Books 1 and 2. If the series flips to 'Mummy/Mum' for a UK edition, all three books flip together.
